Local Information
The area around the cottage is Stockton on Forest, this is a lovely unspoilt part of York with a lot of walkways and trails. The village has an attractive golf course with 18 holes and close by is a swimming club and fitness centre.
There are many places to visit and they are more or less 1 hour from the cottage, the famous Castle Howard, North Yorkshire Moors and East Coast. The actually city centre is roughly 5 miles from the cottage and in between are an array of museums, minster city walls and other attractions.
